Charles Steven Queen, 54, of Cherokee passed away on Jan. 18, 2014 following an extended illness.
Charles is the son of the late Bascom Queen and Martha Bird Queen. Charles retired from the Cherokee Postal Service and is a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.
Charles is preceded in death by brothers, John Henry Queen and James “Buggs” Queen; one sister, Nancy Queen.
Charles is survived by his wife Loretta Queen; children, Stephen S. Queen, Amber Sneed and Galvin Reed; sisters, Susie Long and Katie Cooper; 2 grandchildren.
A visitation was held on Monday, Jan. 20 at Long House Funeral Home. The funeral service followed at with Military Honors and James “Bo” Parris officiating.
