Billie Francis Etchison

Billie Francis Etchison, 81, of Whittier, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014 in a Jackson County Hospital. A native of Iredell County, he was the son of the late Jay Will and Blonzie Owens Etchison. He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Virginia S. Etchison; three daughters, Cheryl Lossiah of Whittier, Tina Tubby of Philadelphia, Miss., Joanna Austin of Candler; son Jeff Etchison of Stanley, NC; nine grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 3-5pm on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Crisp Funeral Home.


Martha Junaluska Taylor – obituary

Martha Junaluska Taylor, 98, of the Birdtown Community went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014 in a Cherokee Healthcare facility. A native of Cherokee, she was the daughter of the late James and Emaline Blyth Junaluska, and wife of the late Dave Taylor. Preceded in death by two brothers, Mark and Arch Junaluska and two sisters, Sallie Locust and Winnie Cole.

She is survived by four children; Betsy Taylor, Sam Taylor, Jonah Taylor, and Truman Taylor all of Cherokee; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren; one sister Lilian Thompson of Cherokee.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Sunday, Oct. 26 at Bethabara Baptist Church. Rev. Eddie Sherrill and James (Bo) Parris will officiate with burial in the Birdtown Cemetery.

She will be taken to the church at 4pm on Saturday, Oct. 25 by Crisp Funeral Home to await the hour of service.  Grandsons will be pallbearers.

 

James Anderson Saunooke – obituary

James Anderson Saunooke, 73, of Chicago, Ill., passed away unexpectedly following a brief illness on Sept. 19, 2014.  He made his home in Illinois, but was from Cherokee, NC.

Known as Jimmy to his family, he was the son of the late Joseph Anderson Saunooke and Stacey (Powell) Saunooke.  He left home as a young man just after high school in the late fifties in pursuit of training for his future and only returned for visits with his family.

James is survived by one sister, Edna Goshorn of Whittier; nieces, Diane L. Goshorn of also of Jackson Co. , Debrah S. with husband Tom Pendergraft of Tulsa, Okla., Donna Beck of Jackson Co., Sherry Young of Cherokee, Sophia and husband Bill Lequire, of Swain Co., and Stacy Washington with husband Josh of Cherokee; nephews, Kirk G. Saunooke of Cherokee and Robert “Bob” Price of Cherokee.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Robert and Joseph Saunooke and one sister, Valeria Saunooke.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Nov. 1 from 12-2pm at the Cherokee Baptist Church.  A funeral service will follow at 2pm in the church with Rev. Percy Cunningham and Pastor Merritt Youngdeer officiating.  An immediate burial will follow in the Saunooke Family Cemetery with T.W. Saunooke, Tivon Saunooke, Harley Young, Josh Washington, Derick Jenkins and Kirk Saunooke act as pall bearers.

Roxie Wiggins – obituary

Roxie Wiggins, 89, of the Birdtown Community, passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2014 at Tsali Care Center in Cherokee. A native of Cherokee, she was the daughter of the late Emery Martin and Myrtle Lambert Martin Enloe and wife of the late Walter Wiggins. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

She is survived by two children; Allen Dale Rowland and wife Ella Mae of Cherokee, Gaynelle Estes of Cherokee; two grandchildren, Jamie Rowland and fiancée Heather Queen and Angie Jones and husband Jeff; five great grandchildren, Caleb Rowland, Callie Cook, Coy Rowland, Taylor Jones, and Kyndle Jones; two sisters, Beulah Benfield, Mary Ellen Rhodes and husband Clarence, and one Brother Harold Enloe and wife Helen.

Funeral Services will be held at 3pm on Sunday, Nov. 16 in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Revs.  Danny Lambert and Percy Cunningham will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1-3pm on Sunday at the funeral home.

 

Victor Charles Kimmel – obituary

Victor Charles Kimmel, son of Charles Arthur Kimmel and Velma Pearl Elton, was born on May 29, 1927 in Detroit, Mich. and passed away on Nov. 16, 2014, in Leesburg, Fla. Vic grew up in Detroit in the area of West Grand Boulevard and Tireman Avenue. His first job was at Kline’s women’s apparel store in downtown Detroit, making 37 ½ cents per hour.

Vic’s mother was also employed at Kline’s. After serving in the Navy during World War II, Vic was called back to service in 1953, spending two years in the Army. He embarked on his sales career in 1954 as a manufacturer’s sales rep for Hortex Mfg. selling Billy the Kid Blue Jeans. In 1961, Vic found his niche as a manufacturer’s sales rep in the souvenir industry, where he excelled for over 50 years, and was recognized as a Living Legend in 2004 at the Smoky Mountain Gift Show in Gatlinburg, Tenn.

Vic was a proud Free Mason and member of Livonia United 152.  On July 27, 1970, Vic married N.J. “Joey” Tutor Olson in Walled Lake, Mich. Vic and Joey founded VCK, Inc. in the mid 70’s. During the past five decades, this successful, thriving enterprise has had the good fortune of working with some of the finest companies in the souvenir industry, such as Wheeler Mfg. Co., Inc. of Lemmon, SD. He and Joey enjoyed splitting their time between homes in Leesburg, Fla. and Cherokee.

Vic is survived by his loving wife Joey of Martin, Tenn.; a son, John Thomas Kimmel (Tammy) of Sylva, and daughter, Dawn Kimmel Roberts (John) of Tallahassee, Fla.; five grandchildren, Courtney Jo Kimmel and Aaron Michael Kimmel of Sylva; Lindsey Minsch of Cincinnati, Ohio and Madison Kimmel Roberts and Logan Kimmel Roberts of Tallahassee; and other beloved family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 1p.m. at Beyers Funeral Home, 1123 West Main Street, Leesburg, Fla., 34748. The family of Victor Kimmel would like to express their gratitude for the participation of the Lake County Veterans Honor Guard and the Masonic Memorial Lodge #18 F&AM in the memorial service. Martin Lewis Armachain – obituary

Martin Lewis Armachain Sr., 66, of the Wolftown Community in Cherokee, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at Memorial Mission Hospital following an extended illness which he fought a valiant battle against.

IMG_852870912031Martin, also known as “Ju-Ju”, his name in Cherokee, is the son of the late Sevier and Nellie Armachain.  Martin was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and very much a family man. “Ju-Ju” retired from the Cherokee Boys Club after 28 years of service as a custodian for the Cherokee School system. His family will miss him greatly.

He is preceded in death by brothers, Jerry, Robert, Fred, Lacy and Bill Armachain; sisters, Annie, Katherine and Rachel; son, John Allen; daughters, April and Leeann; and first wife Patricia.

He is survived by his wife Lauren; children, Marlene (Marlene is with child and will name her third daughter Martina), Martin Jr. and stepson Orion Holmberg; sister, Minda; brother, Bud; grandchildren, Marilyn Walkingstick, Patricia Armachain, Marissa and Jay Dee George; and great-grandson, Tylan Walkingstick.  Ju-Ju also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at Macedonia Baptist Church from 5-10pm.  The funeral service will be on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 1pm, and burial will follow at the Armachain Family Cemetery with friends and family as Pall Bearers. Pastor Dan Conseen and Merritt Youngdeer Sr. will officiate.

Sherry Marlene Toineeta – obituary

Sherry Marlene Toineeta, 47, of the Wolftown Comnmunity passed away  unexpectedly on Nov. 19, 2014 .  Sherry is daughter of Christine Cucumber-Toineeta and the late Albert Toineeta.

Sherry is survived by her children Taryn Toineeta, Rachel Paige Crowe (David Taylor), Gina Crowe (Jay Darguzas) and Nicolette Crowe (Nicolas Garcia); seven grandchildren, A.J. Toineeta, Shooter Toineeta, Lily Toineeta, Leah Toineeta, Cher Crowe-Garcia, Laila Crowe-Taylor and Gia Crowe-Taylor; one sister, Deborah Toineeta.

A visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 21 at the Cherokee Church of God starting at 5pm, and the funeral service will be on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 12pm. Burial will follow at the Toineeta Family Cemetery with Pall Bearers, Nicolas Garcia, David Taylor, Nehemia Toineeta, Greg Smith and Tre Owle. Pastor Charles Griffin will officiate.

Kimber Marie Miles – obituary

Kimber Marie Miles, 4 months 6 days old, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Nov. 22 2014. Kimber is the daughter of Christopher Alan Miles and Brandi Marie Miles of Bryson City.

Along with her parents, Kimber is survived by her twin brother, Colt Alan Miles; older brother, Christopher Alexander Miles; maternal grandparents, Ann Marie Schmehl and William Gerrelle Bazemore of Rutherfordton; paternal grandparents, Iva Larch Mills and David John Mills of Cherokee;  aunt, Angel Nicole Smith; uncles, Michael Wayne Miles, Jr. and Aaron David Miles.

A visitation was held at the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Nov. 28.  The funeral service  followed and burial took place in the family cemetery with Bishop Daniel Rowley Cutler officiating.

Sarah T. Bernhisel – obituary

Sarah T. Bernhisel, 53, of the Wolftown community went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 at her residence. A native of Cherokee, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Katherine Armachain Taylor. She was a member of the Cherokee Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Bernhisel; two brothers, Howard Sr. and Jerry Taylor; and two sisters, Hinah and Flora Taylor.

She is survived by her half-brother, Ricky Jo Taylor; eight nieces and nephews; 10 great nieces and nephews; one great great niece; one great great nephew; two step daughters, Shaina and Danita Bernhisel; and a special adopted nephew, Bill Standingdeer.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Friday, Dec. 12 at the Cherokee Pentecostal Holiness Church. Revs. Donald Ensley and Dan Conseen will officiate with burial in the Taylor Family Cemetery.

Sarah will be taken to the church at 3pm on Thursday by Crisp Funeral Home to await the hour of service.

TahquetteJonathan “Tate” Perry Tahquette, 53, of Cherokee passed away on Dec. 2, 2014 at Memorial Mission Hospital following an extended illness.

Jonathan is the son of Dinah Wolfe Crowe and the late Francis Dewey Tahquette of Cherokee.

He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Jonah and Minda Hill Wolfe; paternal grandparents, Dewey and Beaulah Stiles Tahquette.

Tate is survived by his common-law-wife, Denise Wolfe, one son Jonathan Perry Tahquette II of Pennsylvia; sister Dianah Crowe; brother, Bentley Tahquette; four grandchildren, Jonathan Perry Tahquette III, Dezzerae Rose, Meadow Lynn and Kaitlyn Olivia Tahquette; special, Dennis Sneed Jr.; aunts, Katie Panther, Lillian Crowe and Annie James.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 4 from 6pm-9pm at Long House Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be on Friday, Dec. 5 at 11am. with Charles Ray Ball of Straight Fork Baptist Church officiating. Juanita Walkingstick Hornbuckle – obituary

Juanita Walkingstick Hornbuckle, 48, of the Birdtown Community, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014 in a Jackson County Hospital. A native of Cherokee, she was the daughter of Annie Walkingstick Arch of Cherokee and the late Russell Walkingstick and Johnson Arch. She was the wife of the late Samuel Ray Hornbuckle. She was a member of Goose Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her brother Allen Walkingstick.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by two children, Danielle Hornbuckle, of Cherokee and Kurt Stewart of Cherokee; two grandchildren, Addison Stewart, and Kylond Stewart both of Cherokee; sisters, Martha Sampson of Whittier, Margaret Walkingstick of Cherokee, and Melinda Flores and husband Augistin of Whittier; two brothers, Wilson Walkingstick and wife Jonnie of Whittier, and Mike Walkingstick and wife Joann of Cherokee; aunts Lizzie Hull and Mabelle McDonald of Whittier; a cousin, Timmy Hull of Whittier; many nieces and nephews; her best friend Bear Taylor of Birdtown; two special friends Penny Johnson and Becky Saunooke; a dog Fred, and a cat Buddee.

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, Dec. 14 at Goose Creek Baptist Church. Preachers Red Bradley and James (Bo) Parris will officiate with burial in the Locust Family Cemetery.

She will be taken to the Church at 4pm on Saturday by Crisp Funeral Home to await the hour of Service.

Charles Richard Ollis – obituary

Charles Richard Ollis, 72, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014 at his residence. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Earl and Eloise Grant Ollis. He was a member and trustee of Harmony Baptist Church and an avid outdoorsman. He loved woodworking.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Eileen Monteith Ollis; one daughter, Megan Smoker of Bryson City; two grandchildren, Baylen and Airowen Smoker of Bryson City; one brother, David Ollis and wife Lucille of Bryson City; and many aunts and cousins who have supported him through his illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Monday, Dec. 15 in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Revs. Tony Cochran, Lowell York, and Mike Cogdill will officiate with burial in the Lauada Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Sunday, Dec. 14 at the funeral home.

Allen Ray Butler, 64, of the Wolfetown Community passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 2014 at his residence. Born in Washington Parish, La., he was the son of the late Dorothy Butler. He was preceded in death by his twin sister Alice Faye Butler.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Becky Butler; sisters and brother, Edna, Dorothy, Patricia, and Billy; two special loved ones, Mystical Parker and Eunice Washington; and many nieces and nephews and in-laws; and many great friends that loved him.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, Dec. 30 in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home.

Gary L. Sequoyah Sr. – obituary

Gary L. Sequoyah Sr., 55, of Cherokee, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014 at Mission Hospital following a period of declining health.  Gary is the son of James “Blue-jay” Sequoyah, Sr. and the late Alice Maney.

Gary is survived by his wife of 21 years Brenda Sequoyah and Gary’s pride and joy, son, TsaLiDi Sequoyah; sisters, Vicky McCoy (husband Dave), Chris (husband Jim); brothers, James Sequoyah (wife Donna), Gene Sequoyah; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles as well as the Sharon Proctor family and the Dallas family of Ball Holler, Okla.

Gary is preceded in death by nephew Brent Sequoyah and step-daughter Melissa Welch. Gary will be missed by all of his friends.

Burial took place on Dec. 16, 2014  on Keener Rd. in the Birdtown Community by his step-daughter Melissa.

Robert J. Crowers Jr. – obituary

Robert J. Crowers, Jr., age 72, of Franklin, passed away on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014.

Bob was born in Philadelphia, Penn. to Robert Sr. and Florence Salerno Crowers who preceded him in death. As an enrolled member of the EBCI, he enjoyed long summers spent with his Aunt Lucinda and Uncle Moses Welch of the Big Cove community and later the home of his parents. After an early retirement from a major  utility company, Bob followed his passion for cooking and graduated with an associates’ degree from The Restaurant School, where he met his future wife. Together, they moved to Cherokee and honed their culinary skills by opening a restaurant at The Charleston Inn in Bryson City, followed by a café and bakery in Dillsboro before moving to Franklin and constructing the Town Hill Bake Shoppe which they operated for five years before their final retirement.  In addition to cooking, Bob enjoyed a lifetime of hunting, fishing, car racing and the beach.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Joan Ghisu Crowers, daughter Kelly Crowers Guidry (Nate) of Ft. Worth, Texas, step-daughter Cheryl Thacker of Wilmington, DE., step-son George Luciotti of Boothwyn, Penn., sister Cyndi Crowers Boyer (Joel) of Aston, Penn., brother James Crowers (Joyce) of Jacksonville, Fla., two grandchildren, Caden Reece and Lane Alexander Guidry and six step-grandchildren, Joel, Philip and Justin Mastroeni, Maria, Michael and Noella Luciotti.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 35 years, Judith Hamil Crowers and by a brother, Leonard E. Crowers.

A memorial service was held on Dec. 6, 2014 in the chapel of Bryant-Grant Funeral Home in Franklin with the Rev. Jim Park officiating. The Franklin VFW #7339 and American Legion Post # 108 conducted military rites.

Graveside services and future interment were held at Edgewood Memorial Park in Glen Mills, Penn.

Maggie Wachacha, 30, of Old Santeetlah Road in Robbinsville, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015. She was born in Jackson County on May 10, 1984 and was the daughter of Iggie Wachacha and JC and Jeannie Wachacha, all of Cherokee.

OBIT - Maggie WachachaShe was named in honor of her great grandmother, the late Maggie Axe Wachacha. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Pete and Dorothy Johnson; her paternal grandparents, Lucinda Axe Wachacha Reed; her uncle, Bobby Johnson, and her aunt and uncle, Emily Wachacha Reed and Jr. Reed.

Maggie was a 2003 graduate of Cherokee High School. She loved to play horseshoes and was an avid fan of Duke Basketball. Maggie had many, many friends.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her uncles and their wives, Tony and Kathy Johnson of Robbinsville, and Jack and Gail Johnson of Cherokee; her favorite aunt, Gaynelle Bradley of Cherokee; her uncles Abe “Goat” Wachacha and Mike Wachacha, both of Robbinsville; and her Aunt Ella Bird of Robbinsville. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Monday, Jan. 5 at Zion Hill Baptist Church. The Reverends Bo Parris and Red Bradley will officiate. Burial will follow at the Wachacha Family Cemetery.

Cynthia Lynn Wachacha, 33, of the Snowbird Community passed away on Monday, Dec. 15, 2014 at Mission Hospital following an extended illness.

Cynthia is the daughter of Herman Wachacha, Sr. of Robbinsville and Berdina Wolfe of Cherokee.

CynthiaWachacha 001Cynthia is also survived by her sons, Kristian Martinez and Jose L. Martinez; brother, Herman Wachacha Jr. of Robbinsville sister, Megan L. Wachacha of Marion; necies, Maritsa S. Wachacha, Jordan L. Wolfe and Tara L. Wolfe, all of Cherokee; and nephew, Elijah L. Wachacha. Cynthia also leaves behind many aunts and uncles.

Cynthia is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Henry Wachacha and Dinah Waldroup of Robbinsville; maternal grandparents, Eli and Irene Wolfe of Cherokee; brother, Travis Wolfe as well as aunts and uncles.

A visitation was held on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at the Zion Hill Baptist Church (Snowbird Community), and the funeral service was held on Thursday, Dec. 18.  Burial followed at the Ledford Cemetery. Pall Bearers were Joseph Wolfe, DJ Grindstaff, Ronnie Teesateskie, Patrick Teesateskie, Bernardo Cazares, German Garcia, Brett Crowe and Melvin Lambert. Pastor Noah Crowe and Pastor Michael Rattler officated.

Marshall E. Saine – obituary

Marshall E. Saine, 39, of Cherokee, passed away just before midnight on Friday, Dec. 19, 2014 following a hospitalization at Mission Hospital in Asheville.

Marshall, known to many as Gene, was the son of Wayford Saine and Marcella (Wilnoty) Saine of Cherokee.  He was a laborer who made his way doing work of all kinds including stone masonry.

He is survived by his children, daughter, Angelica Chenise Saine of Cherokee, and son, Adam Eugene Saine of Tahlequah, Okla.; sister, Lori Rubio with husband Mangus; aunts, Faralee Rich, Mary Wilnoty and Faye Catolster; uncle, Joseph Wilnoty with significant other Tammy Cagle; niece and nephews, Taiya, Jullian and Maddox Rubio, all of Cherokee, and special friend, Shannon Littlejohn of Cherokee.

Marshall was preceded in death by a grandmother, Gracia Wilnoty and a uncle, Dale Owle.

The family received friends in the chapel of Long House Funeral Home on Sunday, Dec. 21 and returned to the chapel for a funeral service on Monday, Dec. 22.  The Rev. Percy Cunningham oversaw the service and Joseph Wilnoty, Cory Wilnoty, Marshall Bradley, Eddie Morrow, Jaime Panther, Jarrett Wilnoty and Richard Bradley provided the pall bearer duties.  Marshall was buried near his grandmother Gracia Wilnoty in the Lucy B. Long Cemetery along Lucy Long Rd.

Osceola “Ossie” Smith – obituary

Osceola “Ossie” Smith, 81, of Cherokee, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014 following a hospitalization at Cherokee Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Charles and Elma (Arch) Smith.  Ossie was a member of the  Yellowhill Baptist Church.  In her youthful years, she worked at the newly opened “Unto these Hills” drama and using her pottery and beadwork skills as she worked with the Cherokees making crafts for retail. She continued her arts and crafts by working with the Qualla Arts and Crafts as well as working at the Oconaluftee Indian Village as a villager, sculpturer and bead worker. Ossie was a well rounded, grounded woman who “knew the answer if you didn’t”.  She was a person who helped others as made clear by her working also as a CNA at the Cherokee Indian Hospital herself.

Ossie Smith obitOssie is survived by her daughter Vanessa (Lisa) Huskey with husband Richard; granddaughter, Kelly Smith with husband Travis; grandson, Delano Huskey; two great grandchildren, Rayce and Koen Smith; sisters, Wanda Bradley, Nancy Smith with husband Kenneth, Connie Cabe, Joan Henry with husband Ralph, Linda Raby with husband J.D. and Rebecca Bridges with husband Taylor; several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends Yellowhill Baptist Church on Friday, Dec. 26 with a funeral service following conducted by Pastor Foreman Bradley.  An immediate burial followed in Bethel Cemetery with Bob Bradley, Dean Bradley, James Raby, Tony Cabe, Terrance Cabe and Tommy Cabe acting as pall bearers.

Long House Funeral Home assisted the family in the final arrangements.

Rosemary (Walkingstick) Cucumber, 55, of 22 Medicine Woman Rd. in Cherokee passed away on Saturday, Dec. 27 following a brief illness at the Cherokee Indian Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Joe Mike Walkingstick and Rosie Hornbuckle of Cherokee, NC.  She was a member of the Wright’s Creek Baptist Church and worked at the Cherokees in the past to make her way.  Rosemary had an infectious laugh that she shared with everyone she met.  She loved her family and friends more than anything especially the babies. She will be missed greatly.

Rosemary leaves behind her husband, Kent Cucumber; daughter, Rosie Mae Mejia; brothers, Norman Walkingstick and Calvin “Little Ed” Walkingstick; sisters, Katherine “Punkin” Dimas and Sharon “Yogi” Brown all of Cherokee; mother-in-law, Eleanor C. Bird; sister-in-laws, Carol Wilson and Mildred Cucumber; brother-in-law, Aaron Cucumber; twelve nieces and nephews and thirteen great-nieces and nephews; special great niece and nephew Marcy Swayney and Elliott Brown.

Rosemary was preceded in death by two sons, Steven and Mathew Catolster.

Rosemary was taken to the Wright’s Creek Baptist Church on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014 for a visitation.  The family returned to receive friends the next morning till the hour of service on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014.  An immediate burial followed the services conducted by Pastor Roland Whittaker.  Rosemary was placed by her sons in the Ed Hornbuckle Cemetery near her mother’s home.  The pall bearers were Adam Brown, Duane Brown, Norman “Gooch” Walkingstick, “Tarzan Hood”, “Little” Kallup McCoy, J.R. Hornbuckle, James “J.D.” Swayney, Kevin “Dean” Swayney, “Little” Kenny Wilson, Richard “Herbie” Lossiah and Billy Joe Hornbuckle.
