Mary Jane Walkingstick Taylor, age 76, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021 at Cherokee Indian Hospital. She is the daughter of the late Mason Walkingstick and Lucy Walkingstick.
She is survived by her children, John Phillip Taylor Sr., Carol Denise Taylor, Michelle Dawn Taylor, Heather Lee Taylor, and Margie; nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; sister, Ethel (Tom) Smith; and special friend, Darlene Ledford.
In addition to her parents, Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Jonas “Goose” Lossiah; and brothers, James Walkingstick, George Walkingstick, Paul Walkingstick, and Joe Mike Walkingstick.
A formal funeral service was held on Monday, Sept. 27 in the chapel of Long House Funeral Home with Scott Chekelelee officiating. Burial was in the Jonas Lossiah cemetery. Pallbearers were Edward Taylor, Norman R. Walkingstick, Kane Crowe, Chad Calhoun, and Rexy Walkingstick.
Long House Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements.
